A second record from the proposed Teenage Opera this release spent 3 weeks in the UK charts peaking at #38, a third single would be issued that failed to chart spelt the end of the project, in the 1990's on the radio program Sounds Of The 60's they began a feature of songs that were proposed for A Teenage Opera and recorded by other artists. About 1999 all the remaining material for A Teenage Opera was finally released on a CD. In the press at the time Cliff Richard was being proposed for the lead role.

Oriole the company who made the Embassy disc's for Woolworth's also released an EP of songs from the musical Oliver in 1960, with Davis Kossoff as Fagin, Maureen Evans who now recorded for Oriole, with Chorus and Orchestra Directed by Gordon Franks. Interestingly they have the same six songs, the Embassy Singers and Players would have been session singers does the Chorus have the same session singers?
There is a Boot Sale at Hook Road Arena tomorrow this is an extra one as the one at Apps Farm has been cancelled as there will be a large number of road closures in the area for the Olympic Cycle route practice. I have made other arrangements for Sunday so I will not be going.
