I like most types of music but I have always loved novelty records my first record being Martian Hop by the Randells unfortunatly this was lent to someone by one of my sisters and like many records never returned, when I started replacing my lost records at the bottom of the boxes there were always some records that I had never heard of or seen before these will be the ones featured here. perhaps Mike Sammes was lying over the hill. This one is middle of the middle of the road. Mike Sammes' was the truly fine bass voice accompanying Olivia Newton-John on "let Me Be There', "If You Love Me Let Me Know" and "Banks Of The Ohio". The Mike Sammes Singers also backed Jamaican singer Jackie Edwards on his gospel LP "Stand Up For Jesus" recorded in the UK in the 1960's.
