Mike Sarne & Margo't Quantrell - Hello Lover Boy
I brought this record a couple of years ago, it does not seem to be one of his better known known records, Margo Quantrell was once one of the Vernons Girls. This 1963 release failed to make the UK charts.

Hello! My first visit, will visit you again. Seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed your posts( really interesting blog). Congrats! Would be great if you could visit also mine... I wish you a wonderful day with very smiles and peace. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMike Sarne's number one hit Come Outside (with Wendy Richard) was one of the first records I bought.Mike features in the pop movie "Everyday's A Holiday" alongside Freddie & The Dreamers and The Mojos. He also crops up in a cameo role in the movie "Telstar"
ReplyDeleteIt's songs like this that probably unleashed the likes of Ray Stevens on the world (shades of "It's Me Again Margaret"). I see production credits for a Robert Stigwood; hard to believe it could be the same Robert Stigwood of the red cow (RSO) label that fourteen years later produced the sublime "How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees.
