Typhoons - She Loves You
When I took this record out of it's cover it looked as if someone had eaten a meal of of it, it cleaned up quite will the worst stuff I have ever tried to remove from a record is cement, though nail varnish has probably done in more records than any other substance.
I have worked with some strange people over the years one was known as Catweazle, he said that the plates in the staff canteen were not clean enough and would not use them he has a MacDonald's Big Mac carton (pre cardboard days) and had his meals served in it, he never washed it one day one of the canteen staff saw it and said that it was so gross she refused to serve any food into it, he had been using it for several months by that time.
Catweazle was also a drinker and a couple of the local pubs saved him all the ulage (start and eds of the barrel) he would drink 7 or 8 pints of it as it was free. One day he was in one of the pubs that did not save the wast beer for him and there was a dispute/problem with a pint of beer, the Landlady had the pint in her hand and was going to pour it down the sink Catweazle was trying to say don't throw it away I will drink it (free), she poured it away and Catweazle now almost crying at the waste of what could have been a free pint when the Landlady said to him "We do not give beer away here"

McGuire Sisters - Sugartime Twist
A 1962 release for the McGuire Sisters, this did not make the UK chartt, their last UK chart record had been in 1959.
McGuire Sisters - Sugartime Twist
McGuire Sisters - More Hears Are Broken This Way
At about 1 min 40secs the record appears to slow down, this is a fault with the record as I tried a number of times to record it, each time problem was in the same place, I also tried a second record deck the record still slowed down at the same place.
McGuire Sisters - More Hears Are Broken This Way
Adam, Mike And Tim - That's How I Feel
With Decca records sometimes the only way of knowing what is the "A" side is to find a promotion copy and see which side has the "A" to confuse matters neither side if this promotional record has an "A". This 1965 release failed to make the UK chart.
I have been experimenting with the cartridges as the Stanton 680 is a little too sensitive for some of these battered old 45's so I am using a Stanton 500 at the present.

Johnny Gregory And His Orchestra - Here And Now (Berlin Melody)
I remember this music, but can not recall the TV program this record was not a UK hit.
Apologies both of today's records are not in the best of condition this show by the number of clicks and pops in the recording.

5 Stairsteps - Dear Prudence
This record was first issued in 1969 but it has a different catalog number from this copy.
I have changed the record deck today the replacement deck is a Stanton STR8.150 this is not a USB deck, I am using a KAM USBH 100 MkII interface to connect to my PC, when I first set it up there was a loud humming noise on the recordings I could not find out what was causing it, while investigating it I moved the power cord and the noise stopped I re routed the power cord to prevent it happening again, I will have to sort out the mass of cables around the P)C.
5 Stairsteps - Dear Prudence
Five Americans - Western Union

Troll Brothers - You Turn Me On
A 1973 release that failed to make the UK chart.
I have been having some problems with the record deck it seems to record in mono I will swap it for another deck at the weekend to see if that solves the problem, the cleaning program I use Magix imports CD's as Stereo OK, I am thinking that something has failed in the record deck.

Elvin Bishop - Travelin' Shoes
Many American Promotional records have the same track on both sides one side in stereo the other in mono, this will often be to only time the track is issued in mono.
Long tracks are edited so that they will get airplay this track has lost 4.10 mins from the stock copy.
